We could all learn a thing or two from this Natalie Dee comic
One thing that many environmentalists get wrong is they are trying to save the planet for the selfish reason of saving themselves. This will only hasten the destruction of the planet through overpopulation. The only way to save the planet is to dramatically reduce the population.
Do you know why Fiji has a relatively small population today in comparison to many of their neighbors? Because for thousands of years they were cannibals. No one wanted to vacation in Fiji because it meant getting eaten and as a result the people who survived were able to fully benefit from the pristine beauty and untouched natural resources of Fiji without having to deal with overpopulation. If each family would just eat 1 or 2 people a year, it would dramatically reduce the population of the planet and make life better for everyone.

So the official death toll from the earthquake in Haiti is now around 170,000 and is expected to reach 200,000. This is a big improvement from the estimate in our previous post and will set the growth of the population back by a few years at least.
There is also a lot of talk about decentralizing the population of the country during the rebuilding process by moving people out to smaller villages and cities throughout the island. This of course is good, but much more needs to be done to reduce the population in order for there to ever be hope for the country.
Right now all sorts of ships and planes are bringing food and medicine to the country non stop. Why not bring condoms and birth control and a little bit of education to go along with it?
In the meantime, there is still hope for another big earthquake. A nearby fault which is thought to have a lot of pressure built on it barely moved during the 7.0 quake that hit the island.

The earthquake in Haiti may seem like great news to all of us who wish for a good reduction in population. Especially for a country as densely populated and impoverished as Haiti.
Haiti is a great example of what happens when population grows unchecked. Resources are extremely scarce and almost every single tree in the entire country has been cut down.
The population continues to grow and grow because there is no education, no birth control, no family planning, and simply not quite enough disease and disaster to keep things in check.
For example: The Red Cross estimates that as many as 50,000 are dead from the earthquake. But for a country that has a population closing in on 9 million there will be over 100,000 babies born this year.
Maybe they will be lucky enough to have a dozen more big quakes so that the good people of Haiti can start to live well again.

The Telegraph is reporting that scientists have created the worlds first lab grown meat.
This is bad news. The end result could mean growing literally millions of pounds of food cheaply using less water, land, resources, and with less pollution and greenhouse gases.
The research is backed by a large sausage corporation and just shows that greedy scientists will take a paycheck from any one in order to keep the world on the path of overpopulation.

News is coming out of the UK and Norway of a new drug resistant super-H1N1
Two are dead from the strain in Norway and the one in Wales is completely resistant to Tamiflu. Could this be the mutation we have all been waiting for to give this pandemic the kick start that is so badly needed?
So far there are just over 6000 confirmed deaths from H1N1 worldwide. The actual number is certainly much higher as not everyone who gets sick and dies is tested for H1N1, however so far we have not seen the event we have been waiting for. Let’s hope these new mutations show some promise.
In other news, the H1N1 vaccine is still in short supply, so an un-vaccinated population still offers a glimmer of hope.

Andrew Revkin recently discussed a “thought experiment” on his blog at the New York Times where he discussed the idea of getting carbon credits for not having children, since it was discovered that spending money on family planning is about the best way to stop carbon emissions. It is a simple idea really, one that is not new to us here at NGF, but apparently it drew the ire of Rush Limbaugh who said that Mr. Revkin should go kill himself to help the planet. The ironic thing is that in trying to offend Andrew, Rush actually supported his idea. Be it not having a child, or just killing yourself, or even someone else.. the end result is that you make the world a little bit better.
I am not really a fan of Mr. Revkin or Mr. Limbaugh, but I am happy to see that little by little people in the mainstream are catching on to the idea that not having all sorts of children is a good thing, that there are many good reasons to reduce the population instead of constantly trying to grow it.
Here’s to hoping the idea continues to gain ground.

The results of a recent HIV vaccine trial in Thailand are out and although thankfully not significant enough to put an actual vaccine into production, it has given researchers hope that they are moving in the right direction.
This is very bad news.
HIV/AIDS Has been an incredible asset in the population fight. Not just because it kills people. It does not really work fast enough to kill a significant amount of humans. However, the fear of getting HIV/AIDS stops hundreds of millions of people from having unprotected sex… or even from having sex at all.
Without the fear of getting a terrible incurable disease, a vaccinated population will become sluttier than you could ever imagine, each individual could engage in sexual activities with thousands of unprotected partners every year the global birthrate would shoot up from 2.2 babies per female to more than 16.
In just a few generations we could see a population on this planet of over 100 billion.
Scary times indeed. Maybe we will get lucky and some more earthquakes in Asia will wipe out any more vaccine progress.

The “green” revolution has certainly made some people a lot of money by pushing more efficient or less polluting products. However, many people have complained that there is no money to be made in reducing the population. The theory being that a larger population equals more potential customers. Well, we are happy to announce that today we have discovered a way for NGF members to make money while helping to greatly increase the infant mortality rate. (That’s right! You can finally help kill the little bastards without going to jail.) Considering the vast population of the planet and the general unwillingness of most humans to stop reproducing, virtually unlimited amounts of money can be made. Certainly this will be welcome news to any members hurting during these tough economic times!
So just how does this work? Well as we all know, epidemics are nature’s way of thinning the population. But, vaccines were invented and that helped the population to explode. We can’t just sit around and wait for a new epidemic to wipe out half the world. The best thing we can do is convince people who lack critical thinking skills to resist vaccination. If enough people stop vaccinating their kids, herd immunity will fall apart worldwide. Thankfully, an organization called the Australian Vaccination Network is already doing a lot of work in this area. (Although they actually think they are saving children because they believe vaccines are more dangerous than epidemics)

Here is where the money part comes in. You refer stupid people to AVN and they will pay you a commission for each one that buys a membership, magazine subscription, or other items. Not only do you get the satisfaction of potentially killing off the children of parents you refer to this website, but with all NGF members working together we can potentially stop enough children from getting vaccinated to eliminate the threat of herd immunity and raise the infant mortality rate to acceptable levels!

Can someone please enlighten me as to why so many resources are put into trying to figure out how to ensure that as many people as possible can reproduce? Some reckless UK scientists have claimed to create sperm from human stem cells for the eventual purpose of helping infertile men have children.
Isn’t it bad enough that women who should not be having children have fertility treatments? Now we have them for men. As scientists, more should be done to research ways to reduce population growth instead of looking for ways to make the most money and gain fame. This makes them no better than common whores. In fact, worse than whores because at least whores typically use contraceptives.
The only silver lining in this story is that other experts are challenging the results, pointing out that the sperm is abnormal. One can only hope that after their peers review the results, it will prove to be a big enough failure that they lose their funding. Funding that could be put to much better use by someone doing some real good for the world, like ways to reduce the population.

Today, Oxfam International released a glowing report of the future to the G8 which is meeting in Italy this week.
It says that as the weather changes, millions of people in areas suffering food scarcity will have to give up traditional crops, possibly leading to social upheavals such as mass migrations and possible conflict over water resources. The report also went on to mention that corn crops could be widely affected by global warming. Potentially removing a primary food source for 250 million people.
However, the news is not all good. The most disappointing part of the report says that only 60% of the world’s agricultural potential is exploited and that with modern farming techniques the world has a good chance of supporting the estimated 9.2 billion people that will inhabit this earth by 2050. We can only hope that they are wrong.
