One thing that many environmentalists get wrong is they are trying to save the planet for the selfish reason of saving themselves. This will only hasten the destruction of the planet through overpopulation. The only way to save the planet is to dramatically reduce the population.

Do you know why Fiji has a relatively small population today in comparison to many of their neighbors? Because for thousands of years they were cannibals. No one wanted to vacation in Fiji because it meant getting eaten and as a result the people who survived were able to fully benefit from the pristine beauty and untouched natural resources of Fiji without having to deal with overpopulation. If each family would just eat 1 or 2 people a year, it would dramatically reduce the population of the planet and make life better for everyone.

Mexico has a long history of large death tolls due to it’s obvious disdain for safety. Why worry about a pandemic when they kill helpless children by essentially trapping them in a burning warehouse with only one way out?

The swine flu is already showing a similar trait to the 1918 Spanish flu. Reuters is reporting that a Mexican health official said most of the fatal flu victims were between ages 25 – 45. This is typically very unusual for an influenza outbreak because this age group is young, strong, and normally able to fight off sickness. The Spanish flu had the same effect on about the same age group. This could be huge.

Current stats show 1004 infected in Mexico 20 confirmed dead from swine flu and 40 more still pending confirmation.

More updates here as they become available

The 19 18 Spanish flu pandemic killed over 50 million people and infected up to 40 percent of the global population. It was an exceptionally well mutated form of influenza that killed even the strong and healthy within 24 hours of getting sick. A global culling that we here at NGF can only hope happens again soon.

A new strain of influenza dubbed the swine flu has emerged in Mexico and the southwest United States. A fascinating recombinant strain of swine, avian, and human. Unlike the recent bird flu scares, this A H1N1 strain actually appears to be very good at human-to-human transmission. News out of Mexico suggests that up to 60 out of 800 infected have already died. Such a high mortality rate suggests that we could be in for quite a treat in the coming weeks. Unfortunately the WHO and CDC are on the scene preparing to take containment measures. We can only hope they are too late.

Stay tuned to New Global Future for updates on this developing story.

Normally we are not big fans of the FDA, they approve drugs that extend the human lifespan and make sure food is safe to eat. But today, they finally did something good. Well, partially good. Over the last number of years, the movement to force children to bear more children has been going pretty strong in this country.

Aside from telling kids condoms almost always fail or teaching them to pretend no one has sex until marriage, the child procreation movement came to a peak in 2006 when the FDA decided that you needed to be 18 to get the Plan B contraceptive without a prescription.

But today they announced that the age has been dropped to 17. Although they could do much better by making it available to anyone who needs it regardless of age, the fact that over 40% of 17 year olds are sexually active means that tens of thousands of babies may never be born because of Plan B.

And this makes us happy.

Our friends at DuPont are one of the world’s largest users of perfluorooctanoic acid, used to make Teflon, which is used to coat cookware, clothing, carpet, the metrodome, etc. The best part about this carcinogen is that it doesn’t break down! It accumulates in our bodies and the bodies of animals forever, which is why now 95% of the human population has this chemical in their blood. DuPont has done an outstanding job at contributing to the rise in cancer rates globally.

This isn’t the first time DuPont has done something good for the future. DuPont also invented chlorofluorocarbons, which helped create holes in the ozone layer. They would have been successful if only given a few more years to do their work. But legislation around the globe stopped CFC’s in their tracks.

Keep up the good work DuPont!

Despite being the world’s most populous country, China has the power to completely destabilize the entire planet at any given moment. They have a massive military and nuclear weapons, a history full of war and conflict, a secretive and rather oppressive government, and the motivation and dedication to reach long term goals.

In the last decade China has experienced incredible economic growth. This was achieved by making China a favorable place to manufacture goods with cheap labor, an artificially undervalued currency, and no real laws to speak of regarding pollution. China is the world’s largest sulphur dioxide polluter, probably the largest of multiple other toxins, and will be the largest greenhouse gas producer by this year, contributing heavily to disease and cancer in their own country, as well as climate change and ocean pollution globally.

No one can know what China will do, but the potential for them to get involved in a war, or just to contribute heavily to poisoning the planet is very great. What’s not to love?

R.J Reynolds and Phillip Morris should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the anti-tobacco / anti-freedom interests in washington to take control. The situation has really gotten out of hand with now the MPAA considering changing ratings for movies that depict smoking.

China National Tobacco Co. is a shining example of what the tobacco industry should be. They command a massive 30% of the global market share and do an excellent job helping Chinese citizens consume 1.7 trillion cigarettes a year. An estimated 1.2 million people in China die every year because of smoking. A far cry from what the tobacco companies in America are doing.

Thank you China National Tobacco for doing your part.

Please show your support and buy some Chinese cigarettes!
